About Me

Welcome to fifth grade!!! I am so excited about this school year. This year will be my  year fifth teaching fifth grade at Woodland Park Academy. I am ready to make this the best year yet! I hope that each of you will make the choice to have a GREAT year!

About my career:
I graduated from Rochester College in 2003. I did my student teaching and three long-term substitute positions in the Lake Orion Community School District. I taught at National Heritage Academies for two years. In addition to teaching, I also coached volleyball for three years.  I completed my Masters degree from Walden University. The focus of that program was Reading and Math grades K-6. I am very excited to implement my learning into the classroom this year.

About my hobbies:
In my free time (which is rare), I like to scrap book, read, and hang out with my family.  I have been experimenting with cooking, baking, and gardening, which is more fun than I ever expected. I also enjoy exercising and being outside.
