I am very excited to be teaching 2nd grade and am
looking forward to our year together.
All About Me!!
I grew up in the Grand Blanc area and attended Grand Blanc Schools. After graduating
from high school, I attended and earned my degree from Western Michigan University in 1982. I started my teaching career in Louisiana. In 1987, I moved back to Michigan to teach. When I’m not working in my classroom, I enjoy time with my family, working in my perennial gardens, and playing with our four dogs.
FAMILY
While teaching in Louisiana, I met a wonderful “Cajun” and we were married in 1984. We have been blessed with two wonderful children. Our daughter, Heather,
is attending Mott community College and working on a degree in Environmental Science. Our son, Thomas, is married and is currently working for Rousch Performance as an engineer. His wife is working for GM and also teaching night classes at Baker College. We are very proud of all 3 of them!!!
My goal as your child’s second grade teacher is to provide a safe, educational learning environment in which they will have the freedom to creatively express themselves. As a community of learners, we learn to respect and accept each other as we engage in our daily activities.
I firmly believe that communication is the key to your child’s success. As we work together this year, I promise to keep you well informed of all happenings in our classroom and hope that you will read all communications sent your way.
